About two weeks ago, I had gotten an invitation to try out the new desktop app beta. And funny enough, that’s what had gotten me to play WoW again.

I love the idea of having a desktop app for because it keeps everything contained into one program. I can finally remove all the Blizzard games from my taskbar and replace it with desktop app. W00t!

It’s about time they made something like this. I haven’t ran into many problems, perhaps once or twice. Once, it wanted to update WoW but the download bar wasn’t progressing at all and it was saying “searching…” the entire time. So I exited out the program and tried to load it up again, but the desktop app wouldn’t load at all so I had to restart my computer.

Twice, was actually today. I had trouble logging into WoW from the desktop app. It automatically displaed a “You have been disconnected” message without even trying to log me in. So I had to open up WoW.exe and that worked fine. Must’ve been a bug!

It’s true. I did a name AND a race change on Zombot and so far, I have no regrets, I guess. Her name is now Springsrolls but I’m starting to wonder if it would be better to use that name for my future Pandaren monk because they have that “rolling” ability and Springrolls are a type of Chinese/Vietnamese food.

If Blizzard ever updates the look of the undead race, then I will consider going back to the original Zombot. For now, I’m just having a lot of fun being more “bouncy!”

The guild and I took down Stone Guard last week and it was no easy kill. I’ve tanked raids for a while and this fight was the first time I almost wanted to quit tanking. There’s a specific, orderly-ish way to juggle/taunt the guards and you have to be incredibly attentive to catch it. It took me two raid nights to understand the taunting mechanic and now that I have it down, it’s pretty easy and fun. I like tanking again!

We just took down Feng tonight and that is also kind of a tank fight. Why are we getting so much attention? Either way, it was a fun, solid fight and I can’t wait to down him again after the reset.

The dailies are killin’ me, man. Why can’t we just grind a little until we can get a damn rep/faction tabard!?

Finally getting to level my DK tank. I’m curious to see how tanking is as a different class. So far, I’m still loving the warrior for the simple fact that they are clearly the most fun and mobile. They can charge, intervene and heroic leap all within a matter of seconds.

– I’m on a kite:

Our rogue, Hannibal, finally earned his epics! It was worth it. It was all worth it!

Oh yeah, I should probably tell you guys that Hannibal was originally a gnome, and then converted to orc. He’s a blood elf now. I do not approve of this (he was a better gnome).
